The Points are coordinated by CSV Emilia and are part of the Parma welFARE 2020 project, created thanks to the support of the Cariparma Foundation together with the City of Parma, Ausl, Ospedale Maggiore, Forum Solidarietà, Consorzio Solidarietà Sociale, trade unions and other local entities.

Part Time Grandparents and Uncles

An initiative to connect families who need a helping hand (dropping their children off at school, spending afternoons together, helping with homework) with people willing to offer their time and expertise. A way to rediscover the value of neighborhood ties.

Family to School

A project that encourages families to meet within the school to provide opportunities for informal support between children and parents. One example? After school, a child stops by a classmate's house to snack or do homework together. A small gesture that creates supportive bonds.

Family Workshops

Spaces spread throughout the territory where families can meet, participate in activities, workshops and moments of discussion. The Workshops promote:

The Residential Home for the Elderly is a residential social-health facility, accredited according to current regional regulations, designed to accommodate medium- and high-grade non-self-sufficient elderly people with complex care and health needs who require high levels of help, support and protection.

Provides round-the-clock hospitality and care, support in daily activities, opportunities for socialization and community living. It provides medical and nursing care and an individualized program designed to maintain and, where possible, improve the health and well-being of the person received.

Entry shall be in accordance with the current Municipal Regulations and Guidelines approved by acts of the Council.

Reception is preceded by an assessment by the Municipal Social Worker and the Geriatric Assessment Unit (UVG). Together with the elderly person and his or her family, a Personalized Project is prepared, in which the goals to be achieved and the duration of the reception are shared.

The "Protected Discharge" service is for non-self-sufficient patients discharged from the Maggiore Hospital in Parma and provides continuity of care and assistance in the delicate transition phase from hospital to home or other care facilities.

The main objective is to offer timely and effective interventions to support people and their caregivers, accompanying them on the path to recovery and post-hospitalization care.

Housing with services is intended for elderly people who are no longer able to live in their own homes and need support in managing daily living.

These are self-contained apartments, similar to a condominium, set in a housing context that provides greater protection and the opportunity to use common services.

• Activation, when needed, of protective care and support for daily living

Intake takes place in accordance with the current Municipal Regulations, after evaluation by the Municipal Social Worker, who together with the elderly person and his or her family prepares a Personalized Project with agreed goals and timeframe.

The allocation of housing is the responsibility of the City Administration, based on the evaluation of the committee in charge.

The Residential Community is a small-scale residential facility designed to temporarily or prolonged accommodation of mildly dependent elderly people who, for social welfare reasons, can no longer live in their own homes.

Accommodates a limited number of elderly people, offering:

• 24-hour assistance
• Support in carrying out daily activities
• Opportunities for community life and socialization

Medical care is provided by the person's general practitioner.

The reception takes place in accordance with the current Municipal Regulations and after evaluation by the Municipal Social Worker. A Personalized Project is prepared together with the elderly person and his or her family, with shared goals and timelines.

Temporary housing in the Residential Home aims to encourage and support the stay at home of the non-self-sufficient elderly person or adult with geriatric-like illnesses, supporting the family in the care commitment for a defined and agreed period.

Specific objectives of the intervention

• Support the caregiver in emergency situations related to sudden difficulties
• Providing a period of respite for the caregiver
• Accompanying the caregiver in the face of a change in the balance of care, related to the worsening condition of the person being cared for

The Day Care Center is a sociomedical day care service, accredited according to current regional regulations, for elderly people with varying degrees of non-self-sufficiency.

Purpose of service

• To offer support to the elderly person and his or her family in managing daily life
• Maintain and/or recover skills related to autonomy, relationship and socialization
• ensure social welfare interventions

The Day Care Center supports home-based projects, promoting the person's permanence in his or her living environment through day care and skilled assistance.

Reception is carried out in accordance with the current Municipal Regulations.

"A Casa Mia" is a 24-hour teleassistance service, every day of the year, aimed especially at the elderly, adults with disabilities or those in fragile situations.

The purpose of the service is to enable the person to continue living safely at home by ensuring that in the event of an emergency, a coded message can be sent to a specialized listening center that can immediately identify the user and activate prompt action.

There is provision for formalizing the role of family caregiver through a specific "Recognition Card," designed to facilitate access to social and health services and offer information, guidance, support and listening.

Home service for people with disabilities

The service is for adults with disabilities who need social welfare and/or educational interventions at home.

The goal is to support the possibility of living in one's own home, avoiding-or delaying-the use of residential facilities.

The service can be activated:

• Temporarily to accompany a specific project or supplement other support

This is done in collaboration with the network of services already operating in the area.

B-Factory is an innovative Assessment Center -type project that puts the person with disabilities at the center, building tailored opportunities to improve the quality of life.

Through scientifically validated tools, B-Factory develops personalized paths from the person's desires, needs and preferences. The result is a Life Project: a programmatic document that plans, in the medium to long term, the stages of personal fulfillment, organizing the necessary supports and opportunities along the course of life.

Service for people with severe disabilities

The service is for people with severe physical, intellectual, multiple or relational disabilities who have finished school.

The Center is an accredited social-health facility, according to regional regulations, designed for people with limitations in functional autonomy.

It offers:

• Support for the person, caregivers, and family, including reducing the risk of social isolation
• Pathways to develop and enhance autonomy, improve quality of life, and foster inclusion
• Recreational activities and opportunities for participation in social life

Summer center for girls and boys with disabilities

A recreational and educational experience designed for girls and boys with disabilities from age 14 through the end of schooling.

The center runs from June to August, organized by weeks, and designed according to the needs of families and in collaboration with other summer services activated in the area.

• Enrollment covers a number of weeks agreed upon with the family
• Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the possibility of part-time until 1 p.m.
• Cafeteria service and transportation are included

An innovative space dedicated to people with disabilities who want to develop greater autonomy in daily life and strengthen their personal and social skills. The project is inspired by the right to independent living, according to which every adult person has the right to choose where and with whom to live. Therefore, it works closely with families to build together paths that accompany them toward independent living.

The House of Autonomy is among the projects provided for by Law 112/2016 ("After Us") and focuses on activities preparatory to adult life as autonomous as possible, also with a view to the future in the absence of parents.

Lostello is a space dedicated to young adults with mild-to-moderate disabilities, where they can experience hands-on and challenging activities, enhancing their skills and preferences.

Proposed activities include:

• kitchen and hall
• retail sales and store organization
• green care
• simple secretarial activities

The goal is to provide a dynamic environment where people can challenge themselves in a harmonious and inclusive way.

A set of interventions aimed at families with sons and daughters with disabilities, with the aim of accompanying them in the different moments of daily life and offering concrete support in the relationship with services.

The project involves:

• Birth support: shadowing from the time of diagnosis and on return home, to help the family reorganize and navigate services.
• Family daily living support: in-home support with qualified caregivers for moments of relief, educational help, connection with school and activation of resources in the area.
• Family meeting groups: opportunities for parents to talk, listen and share with each other, to enhance mutual support.
• Psycho-pedagogical support: in-depth spaces to explore strategies, find solutions and rethink a life project together.
• Informational support: shadowing to access rights, learn about services, and network with other families.

Transportation service for people with disabilities

A service dedicated to those who, for disability-related reasons, cannot use public transportation and need to move independently within the municipal territory.

It is addressed to:

• Adult persons with 100% civil disability
• minors with certified disabilities (L. 104/92)

The service operates Monday through Saturday, excluding Sundays and holidays, and covers theentire territory of the City of Parma, including the hamlets.

Each person can take up to four rides per day, with priority for work needs. It is possible to travel alone or with a companion.

For the year 2024, the Emilia-Romagna Region and the City of Parma are offering concessions on urban and intercity public transport through subsidized "I move together" season tickets
